About the Reaction Lab 3D model (Chemistry)

When an acid meets a base they neutralise each other, forming salt and water and releasing heat — this is why the thermometer rises. Universal indicator turns from red (acidic) through green (neutral) to purple (alkaline). Carbonates react with acids to release carbon dioxide gas. The bubbles you see are CO₂, the same gas that makes fizzy drinks sparkle and turns limewater milky.
