Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. What this covers

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage — local storage and session storage — that LearnExa uses on learnexa.org. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.

2. Essential: sign-in and session

When you log in we store an authentication session in your browser so you stay signed in as you move between pages. This is strictly necessary — dashboards, messages, bookings, payments and live classes cannot work without it. Clearing it signs you out.

3. Essential: security

Admin access uses a short-lived unlock flag stored in the browser so the admin panel re-locks after you leave. We also keep short-lived state used to protect forms and prevent replayed actions. Passwords, PINs and payment credentials are never stored in your browser.

4. Preferences

We remember your language (English or Urdu), your light or dark theme, and small interface states such as whether you have dismissed a prompt, closed the support widget, or already seen a plan celebration. These stay on your device and are not used to identify you.

5. Functional storage during a session

While you are in a live class or on a whiteboard, your browser may temporarily hold drawing state, device selection (camera and microphone) and draft messages so a refresh does not lose your work. This data is cleared when the session ends or when you clear your browser storage.

6. Third-party services

Some parts of the platform are provided by third parties — our authentication and database provider, our live video and classroom provider, and the font service we load styles from. These may set their own cookies or storage that is strictly necessary to deliver that feature. They are not used by us for advertising profiles.

7. No advertising or cross-site tracking

LearnExa does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking networks, and we do not sell browsing data to advertisers.

8. Your consent choices

When you first visit LearnExa you are asked to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always on; analytics and marketing categories are off until you allow them. You can review or change your choice at any time on the Cookie Preferences page, linked in the footer of every page.

9. Managing cookies and storage

You can view, block or clear cookies and site data at any time from your browser settings, usually under Privacy or Site settings. Blocking essential storage will prevent sign-in and most of the platform from working. Clearing storage signs you out and resets your language, theme and consent preferences.

10. Changes and contact

We update this policy when the storage we use changes; the date at the top shows the current version. If you have questions about cookies, reach us through the Contact page.
